Rider Rings
High-performance rider rings designed to prevent piston-to-cylinder contact and optimize compressor performance.
What Are Rider Rings?
Rider rings, also known as rider bands, are non-metallic rings installed on the piston of a reciprocating compressor. Their primary function is to support the piston and prevent metal-to-metal contact with the cylinder wall. This reduces friction, wear, and damage, extending the life of your compressor components.
Materials & Design Options
- PTFE (Glass, Bronze, Graphite-filled)
- PEEK for high-temperature and chemical resistance
- Bronze and Cast Iron for lubricated services
- Custom blends available upon request
All rings are available in solid, angle-cut, step-cut, or butt-cut designs, with sizes ranging from 1″ to over 12″ piston diameters.
